Operatives of the Anambra state authorities Command have actually saved least 18 under-aged women utilized for prostitution at a whorehouse.

Speaking soon after the raid on Wednesday, the Commissioner for Women and Social Welfare, Ify Obinabo, applauded the efforts of the security operatives in assisting to save the ladies.
Obinabo, regreting that in spite of the state federal government's efforts to stop trafficking in the state, some individuals are still taking part in the illegal act, swore to guarantee that justice is served.
She stated, “Before starting this raid, examination was performed by the ministry and it was found that the management of the hotel, ‘Ten Top,' Oba traffics women from all parts of the nation for prostitution functions.

They stated they made in between N4,000 to N10,000 everyday on week days and N15,000 to N30,000 throughout weekends.

“We were provided N500 every early morning for feeding for the entire day which the food is given us by the guard placed at various locations of the hotel.”
The victims likewise exposed that they sleep with about 10 guys a day in order to meet the target offered to them and if they do not meet the target, they run the risk of being beaten mercilessly by their madams.
Suspects jailed throughout the raid remain in authorities custody and will be arraigned before the Children, Sexual and Gender Based Violence Magistrate Court in Awka after examinations.
