If there is a silver lining for Davy Fitzgerald to making what remain in excess of eight-hour big salami from his home in Sixmilebridge to Antrim GAA's training base in Dunsilly, near a half-hour beyond Belfast, it's that it's nearly all freeway. Or at least, double carriageway.
From the minute he turns on to the Limerick-Ennis roadway to the roundabout that dissects the M2, Fitzgerald will have 2 lanes to work out the traffic.
