Outlaws have abducted a mobile cops (Mopol) officer in Kampani, a neighborhood in Wase Local Government Area of Plateau State, while a soldier accompanying him handled to get away.

The event taken place on Wednesday night as the officer and the soldier were taking a trip from Zurak to Kampani.

According to sources, the 2 security workers were assailed by the outlaws. While the mobile policeman was caught, the soldier effectively averted the opponents.

The duo became part of a security group operating in the banditry-affected locations ofBangalala, Kampani, Zurak, and surrounding neighborhoods.

Sahapi Sambo, a youth leader in the location, validated the event to The Nation, describing that the 2 males were on their method to join their associates in Kampani when they were assaulted.

Efforts are apparently in progress to save the abducted officer. On Thursday, security workers, consisting of soldiers, authorities, and regional vigilantes, introduced a manhunt for the outlaws, tracking them to their hideout.
