PARIS, France– Fashion label Vivienne Westwood commemorated its late creator on Saturday March 4, requiring to the catwalk in Paris with a collection prepared by her partner and style partner Andreas Kronthaler.
Designs roamed through the gilded halls of the Hotel de la Marine neglecting the Place de la Concorde in an elegant, punk-infused lineup for the Paris Fashion Week program.
Having fun with volumes, customized coats had vibrant shoulders and large sleeves, while the lines on tracksuit pants curved inwards at the bottom, instead of running directly down the leg.
One appearance blended a patchwork of flower patterns, with a sufficient hooded cape tossed over a slim, fitted skirt and continued towering platform heels, as rock band AC/DC’s grumbling performance of “T.N.T.” thumped in the background.
Closing the program was the conventional bridal outfit, with Kronthaler accompanying Westwood’s granddaughter Cora Corre, who used an ivory, lace body match with matching platform boots.
Ratings of fans worn punk designs collected to see the arrival of visitors, who consisted of designer Jean-Paul Gaultier and star Jared Leto.
London Fashion Week, held last month, was devoted to Westwood, among British style’s most significant names, who increased to popularity dressing punk band the Sex Pistols. She passed away in December aged 81.– Rappler.com
